First of all let me start by thank everyone who comforted me when my website was down yesterday! I had literally lost all my content. Lets not even talk about the stress I was going through but things are good now.
I was meant to post this yesterday, well I wore this skirt the other day and as I had mentioned on Facebook I did try the “baring your midriff” trend. It worked out, and in the process I colour blocked like a pro.
DIY Bandeau top, Wambui Mukenyi Sheer Skirt, Blazer from Toi Mkt, Flats from a stall in town, Bib Necklace from 4u2, Clutch from Gikomba
The bandeau top is a DIY I did with an old top I had…but I will have one made because I’m in love with this trend! The bandeau top X the high waist pencil skirt is a big trend but I choose not to translate it to literally hence the sheer maxi.
Bare midriffs is an early 1990′s trend…tumbo cut?? remember that? The translation of that trend now is more polished sophisticated and demure that can be worn at fashion events, soirées, launch events and even to the club.
