FroQ AfriQ is a boutique label which currently specializes in African Inspired Bags and accessories.

The bags are made from combining African Fabrics such as Ankara with Genuine cow ,lamb and Kangaroo Leather.And I hand make the jewellry with whatever free time I can get!

I try to source the most cost effective way to produce my collections so that I can price them competitively – I would love to see more and more women accessorizing with FA.

I was inspired to start the label because of the lack of African Fashion in Australia – unlike say the US and UK the African community in Australia is still very young and not well known, Therefore it was hard to find anything remotely African in stores. So in a way having the brand was my way of hanging on to my african culture but with a modern twist that would be appealing to everyone, not only Africans.

The lable has been up for almost a year and a half now. I’ve had two collections and now working on the 3rd one which I’m very excited about.I’m looking to take the brand in a new direction.
My background prior to starting FA was in Marketing and Finance – I ‘m a self taught designer, and wouldn’t claim to be a design guru or anything like that, I design according to my particular style and what I find appealing and that’s my niche for now.
